Mafi-Trench Company, a company within the Atlas Copco Group, is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions to be located in the company’s Santa Maria, California Manufacturing facility. Electrical Systems Engineer - Responsibilities include: Review customer specifications; Design industrial control, instrumentation and electrical systems to support turbo-machinery; Perform PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI graphical screens; Develop detail bills of materials to meet system requirements; Attend design review meetings with peers, vendors and customers; Oversee testing of systems and FAT (factory acceptance test) prior to shipment; 0-3 years experience in systems design; Experience with National Electrical Code (NEC) and understanding of electrical hazardous area design plus; Experience with natural gas processing, LNG, petrochemical markets a plus; BS degree (4 year) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Equivalent; Fluency in English is a must; Excellent knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel; and knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical is a plus. Field Service Engineer - Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to: International travel (must be willing to travel at least 50% per year); Interact with customers to determine repairs needed; Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs of MTC product line; Work with MTC engineers to resolve source of problems and implement solutions; Conduct training for customers on operation of MTC products; Strong mechanical aptitude. 4 years experience in general skills (clearance, measurements); Background or ability to learn PLC programming; Background in repair of car engines, turboexpanders a plus; Experience with mechanical seals, pumps; Experience with natural gas processing, LNG, petrochemical markets a plus; Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in mechanical engineer or equivalent experience in MTC turboexpanders; Fluency in English is a must; Excellent knowledge of MS-Word; and Ability to read blueprints. Machine Engineer- Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to: Designing tilt-pad oil bearings for high speed turbo-expanders; Designing nozzles and guide-vanes for turbo-expanders; This job is machine mechanical design with some FEA/CFD; Will supervise drafting and works with machine shop to resolve manufacturing issues; review customer specifications’ background in car engines, farm machinery, heavy equipment a plus; Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in mechanical engineering. Technical Equipment Buyer - Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to: Attend engineering review meetings with peers and vendors. Review engineering bills of materials. Solicit bids from qualified vendors (including locating qualified vendors) for goods and services. Negotiate price and delivery with preferred vendor. Place orders with vendors and confirm order acknowledgement. Follow up with vendors on delivery. Zero to three years experience in purchasing/buying. Experience with natural gas processing, LNG, petrochemical markets a plus. BS degree (4 year) in engineering (electrical or mechanical) or equivalent. MBA with engineering degree acceptable. Business majors with sufficient engineering background will be considered. Fluency in English is a must. Excellent knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel. It was established as of January 1, 2003. The division is responsible for development, manufacturing and sales of large process air, gas and process compressors, turbo expanders and their respective aftermarket products. The division’s products are used primarily by the process and power industries and also by industries that specialize in the production of gases through the separation of air to end-users. The Gas and Process division’s products are normally highly engineered, and used in a wide range of process industry applications. The division has its headquarters and key activities at the Energas product company in Cologne, Germany. It has its own direct sales and service resources as well as resources within several key customer centers. It employs about 660 people. |
