EC-OD is a joint development of River City Engineering (RCE) and Mafi-Trench.

By executing a software license agreement with RCE, either through MTC or directly with RCE.

Is a yearly maintenance fee required?
No.
Is EC-OD available for process simulators other than Aspen HYSYS®?
No, not at this time.
Is technical support available for the use of EC-OD?
Yes, a combination of RCE and MTC engineering resources are used to support EC-OD.
Are there limits on the amount of technical support available?
Yes, four hours are provided as a part of the initial license agreement. If this is exceeded then technical support is billed on an hourly basis.

Yes
Is a demo version of EC-OD available?
Yes, it is located on the Mafi-Trench web site. Hit on the Products/Applications pull-down menu, then hit on EC-OD.
What gas compositions and equations of state can be used with EC-OD?
Any equation of state or gas composition available in Aspen HYSYS® can be used.
Can EC-OD handle both post boost and pre-boost expander/compressor configurations?
Yes.
Does EC-OD do both design point and off-design simulation of the expander/ compressor? Yes, the program can either use a “generic” design with normal performance curves for the expander and compressor, or the user can input job specific characteristics.
Is the EC-OD usable for both MTC expanders and those of other manufacturers?
Yes, as long as the required performance curves are available.
